Originally from the South of France, David Blanchard is a French illusionist, performer and creative artist whose work blends grand illusion, mentalism, dance and musical theatre.
After competing internationally in Latin Ballroom with the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), David relocated to New York City in 2019 to study musical theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), graduating in 2022.
He subsequently joined Las Vegas illusionist Rick Thomas in Mansion of Dreams, performing for nearly a year as both a dancer and principal illusion assistant. In 2023, David began headlining Past, Present, Future feat. David Blanchard, created in collaboration with Blackburn International and Britain’s Got Talent creative director Russ Stevens. The production brought together large-scale illusion, mentalism, choreography and theatrical storytelling aboard international cruise ships.
In October 2026, David joins MSC World America as a headline illusionist in MOMENTOUS, an original production by The TwinsFX, internationally renowned for their illusion and special-effects work across Broadway and the West End. He also presents his own headline show, Out of Control, aboard the ship.
Beyond performing, David also develops and produces live entertainment experiences. In 2026, he created Monty Magic, a multi-day magic event in the French Alps for the resort of Montgenèvre, bringing together international performers, gala shows and public experiences around the art of illusion.
His work is driven by a simple ambition: to push magic beyond the traditional magic show and explore what illusion can become when it meets theatre, dance and contemporary live entertainment.
