Originally from the South of France, David Blanchard first gained international recognition in Latin Ballroom, competing with the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF). In 2019, he relocated to New York City to study musical theatre, graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in February 2022.

After graduation, David joined the cast of Mansion of Dreams, performing for nearly a year alongside world-renowned Las Vegas illusionist Rick Thomas. More than just a dancer, he served as a principal illusion assistant—managing complex props, handling live animals, and executing some of the show’s most technically demanding effects, including the iconic flying man illusion originally designed by David Copperfield’s team.

Since 2023, David has headlined the groundbreaking illusion production Past, Present, Future feat. David Blanchard—a collaboration between Blackburn International and Britain’s Got Talent’s acclaimed creative director, Russ Stevens. This innovative show fuses grand illusion, mentalism, musical theatre, and choreography into a cohesive and emotionally resonant experience. Designed for large-scale venues aboard international cruise ships, it has been praised for its immersive storytelling, technical ambition, and cinematic staging.

Currently performing as a Guest Entertainer for Blackburn International, David has also expanded into special events for Disneyland Paris. His creative work blends poetic visual storytelling with cutting-edge stagecraft. He collaborates closely with technical teams on lighting, sound design, multimedia integration, and illusion engineering, ensuring that every effect reinforces the narrative and aesthetic impact.
